While people seem to think that most models are just ditzy airheads, it is actually an amazingly tough career to break into. So, there are certain steps you can take to try and secure your way into this insanely cut-throat industry. Obviously, I didn't have to do any of these things, but we can't all be me.
- Attending sporting events. Just sitting there looking pert can be enough. Be sure not to watch the actual event (which as we all know are boring anyway) and keep an eye on the big t.v. screen. When the camera pans onto you, break into your best poses.
- Waitressing. Always look your best, pout, and give freebies to passing talent scouts. This may result in your being fired, but at least you'll get to work a lot of places and your chances of being discovered rise.
- Stripping. There is ALWAYS the possibility of a talent scout being at a strip club. Rub vasoline on your... teeth, and smile. But if some guy comes up to you and SAYS he's a scout, don't just follow him home. Mistakes have been made.
- Display model in the supermarket. DON'T eat your own produce. DO look alluring, even if you are wearing a German beer wench frock.
- Strict diet and exercise in public. Jogging alluringly along one of the coastal beaches where the movie producers hang out can be enough to get you snared. But be aware that you must look your best at all times. One burger and it's all over.
- Begging from the casting couch. A desperate measure, but you'd be surprised how often it works... so I've been told...
- Photographer's assistant. Always look your best and try and sneak into as many shots as possible. And make sure the photographer always catches your best side.
- Photographer's girlfriend. Similar to the casting couch, but you can maintain a sense of self worth.
- Budding social pages celeb. If you're out at the hippest, hottest places, try getting photographed doing insane and zany things. Once your name is out there, it's only a matter of time.
- Internet sex tape scandal girl. Everyone will want a peice of you if you are "caught" in a "shocking" sex tape expose with somebody even remotely famous, especially if you are outraged.
